The Inside Story

As any tailor will tell you, the mark of a fine suit is also about what you don’t see. From canvasing to construction, ours get their start by reflecting those high sartorial standards.

Hand Rolled Lapel

The lapels of a suit jacket are one of the most essential features and to attain the most natural-looking lapel roll, all of our lapels are accurately shaped and pad-stitched by hand. This process results in a full-bodied roll down to the buttoning point that cannot be replicated by a machine or interlining.

Hand Made Collar

Manesh Manolo’s jacket collars are shaped and joined by hand to ensure a natural fit around the neck. Finding the perfect balance is the secret to every bespoke jacket.

Hand Attached Sleeve

Hand-attached sleeves are essential to a bespoke jacket. A special hand-sewn technique is used to soften a larger sleeve circumference into a smaller armhole, resulting in a jacket that allows for larger range of mobility.

Handsewn Buttonholes

Handsewn buttonholes provide the perfect finishing flair to our bespoke suits.

Shoulder Construction

A custom sleeve head, built from multiple layers of canvas and felt die-cut to precision, creates a refined shape and allows the sleeve to fall cleanly from the shoulder.

Ironwork

As your bespoke garment is being made, our master tailors use a hot iron to control the cloth so that the fabric begins to follow the contours of your body. After the fabric is shaped, it will then be sewn into the canvas, locking in the shaping performed by the tailor. Suits made with this process hold a subtle class that conforms to your body over time.

Half-Canvas Lining

Four interior layers of canvas and haircloth maintain the jacket’s structure and mold to the to the wearer’s body over time.

Bemberg Lining

Antistatic and wrinkly resistant, this breathable lining is hand trimmed to fit perfectly inside each jacket. A thin pleat at the center back provides the fabric with give to ensure that the jacket moves with you.

Hand Finished Details

Manesh Manolo provides a great deal of hand-finished details as a final touch on our bespoke garments. The most significant are our handsewn buttonholes, pick stitching and tack stitching which are done to provide both easy fastening and a fresh look.

Manesh Manolo Bespoke Tailor

Manesh made my wedding even more special. Him and his team made my and the groomsmen attire for a beautiful beach wedding at Friday's in Boracay.

From start to finish his service was exceptional. He understands what styles and colors work, down to the finest details of the buttons for the shirt and waistcoat.

Great job Manesh Manolo!
